Hennessey Venom GT

Fastest Car In The World

February 14, 2014 was  the red letter day for the team members of the Hennessy because on that day they had to have the chance to record the highest speed of a car ever manufactured on this planet. On that day The Hennessey Venom GT ran with a speed of 270 mph as recorded at the Kennedy Space Centre in one direction, breaking the speed record 268 mph of Bugatti Veyron Super Sport. The chassis of this speed phenomenal was built by the automotive giant Lotus Exige. It features a 7.0 liter V8 turbo engine with 1244bhp that help it to be the fastest car in the world. Though its speed limit exceeded 270 mph, Hennessey Venom GT has failed not entry its name in the Gunness Book of World Records as the fastest ‘production’ car because Hennessey has produced only 16 cars out of 30.  According the rules of Gunness, ‘production’ car are those which have been produced at least 30 copies. Though it is not a ‘production’ car, it is the fastest car among all the classes.
